Opportunities to Get Involved: In the World

God has called us to serve both locally and internationally. Described below are some of the ways that we minister to those beyond our borders. We hope you will join us in sharing God’s love with the world.

King of Kings has worked in Copan, Honduras, over the past several years to help build houses and start sewing cooperatives amongst the villages. We have brought numerous sewing machines, materials, and supplies so the women in the villages can create their own source of income. In addition, the cost of each cement block home we build is $3,500. If you would like to support this ministry or go on our next trip, please contact Pr. Garrett. We partner with Palmetto International Ministries.

We are a church that rolls up our sleeves and gets to work in times of crisis. Lutheran Disaster Response brings God’s hope, healing, and renewal to people whose lives have been disrupted by disasters in the United States and around the world. When the dust settles and the headlines change, we stay to provide ongoing assistance to those in need. Learn more about Lutheran Disaster Response by CLICKING HERE.

Building Puentes means “Building Bridges,” and is the name of a commitment between the Caribbean, Delaware-Maryland, and Metro D.C. synods of the ELCA. Overcoming the chasms that divide us and building bridges among Lutheran siblings of the mainland and of the islands affected by recent hurricanes is the number one focus of this ministry. The video below shares the story of Building Puentes.
