Rooted in Christ. Inclusive in Spirit. Active in Love.
Are you searching for a church where faith comes alive through inspiring worship, meaningful discipleship, genuine fellowship, and heartfelt service? If so, you’ve come to the right place.
At King of Kings Lutheran Church, we invite you to grow spiritually, build lasting relationships, and discover purpose in serving others. We are a growing, Spirit-led community in the Dulles South area of Loudoun County, committed to sharing the unconditional love of Jesus in all we do.
We gather for worship every Sunday at 10:00 AM at Goshen Post Elementary School, and on occasion outdoors at Meadow Glen Park Pavilion, which is adjacent to the school.
We believe that “in Christ, all are one.” (Gal. 3:28)
We are a community of believers and questioners of all ages and backgrounds, cultures and colors, abilities and gifts. We welcome and affirm all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. We honor the diverse ways God creates us and are committed to pursuing justice for all, rejecting discrimination and racism in every form. Here, anyone can live beyond societal labels, finding a place to worship, celebrate, grieve, rejoice, renew, and discover our God-given call to serve and love our neighbors.
We invite you to journey with us in faith, hope, and love.

Join us at Goshen Post E.S. and YouTube Live at 10:00 AM on Sunday, January 4th, as we celebrate the feast of Epiphany, concluding the Christmas season with a celebration of God’s glory revealed in the person of Jesus Christ. Like the light of the star that guided the magi to Jesus, the light of Christ reveals who we are: children of God who are claimed, named, and loved. We are then sent out to be beacons of the light of Christ, sharing the good news of God’s love to all people. All are welcome.
Join us for our monthly nature hike on Saturday, January 10th, at 8:30 AM. We will hike a 2-3 mile wooded trail, at Beaver Dam Reservoir (NRPA Parking Lot), meeting in the parking lot before heading out. Along the way, we will pause for a brief reflection together. This is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and connect with God and one another. Please RSVP to Pr. Garrett so we can wait for you in the parking lot. All are welcome.
Join us at Goshen Post E.S. and YouTube Live at 10:00 AM on Sunday, January 11th, as we continue in the season of Epiphany. Let us bear witness to God’s glory revealed in the person of Jesus Christ. And may Christ remind us who we are as well: children of God who are claimed, named, loved, and sent out to share that same good news with all people. All are welcome.
Save the date for our next Confirmation session as youth in grades 6-12 meet with Pr. Garrett at the Wolf home to explore faith through Scripture, theology, creeds, experiences, and activities. This month, we will reflect on the question: "How does evil exist with God as good Creator? and "Who is the image of God?" If you are interested in your youth participating, please contact Pr. Garrett for more information. All are welcome regardless of background, tradition, or previous attendance.
Youth - join us January 22–24 for our Youth Winter Retreat at Massanutten Resort! Enjoy a weekend filled with skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and more, alongside meaningful conversation, laughter, and faith-filled community. Our theme, “Let Go. Lean In. Live Free.”, invites youth to step away from the noise of everyday life and grow in faith, friendship, and freedom together. Participants can expect a cost of around $165, which includes lodging, meals, and some activities. Space is limited, so please RSVP to Pr. Garrett today!
We are partnering with King of Kings Greenbriar to host a week-long Hypothermia Shelter for our neighbors experiencing homelessness in Fairfax County. Each evening, guests are welcomed with a warm place to stay and are provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our Dulles South community will help host dinner on Friday, January 30, serving lasagna, salad, garlic bread, and dessert. A Sign-Up is provided via the link and food needs to arrive by 5:30 PM. Volunteers are also needed to help serve the meal - sign-up provided. Please contact Pr. Garrett if you have any questions.
Our Current Advent Faith Formation Study
Explore the connections between ancient birth stories and the Nativity of Jesus in this engaging four-week Advent study. Using the book A Child is Born by A. J. Levine, we will discover how the stories of Isaac, Ishmael, Moses, and Samuel foreshadow and enrich the Christmas story. Deepen your Advent season with fresh insights and inspiration as Scripture’s earlier birth narratives illuminate the birth of Jesus. Contact Pr. Garrett to participate.
Our Previous Faith Formation Study
In Acts: Catching Up With the Spirit study we explored the life of the early church and how the Spirit still moves among God’s people today. Together, we considered the witness of the Gospel, the challenges of faithful living, and the call to be Christ’s hands and feet in a changing and complex world. Contact Pr. Garrett for these study resources to participate on your own.
