Have you ever had an 'AHA!' experience? It's that sudden moment of discovery, triggered by the unexpected, where something just clicks revealing a grander and broader picture. These moments are often inspired and experienced visually, whether it's a movie, painting, sports, poem, musical, song, etc. We experience something beautiful that impacts us and leaves our lives forever changed. For example:
I remember that moment for me. Two months before my high school graduation we were in New York, NY, to watch Les Misérables on Broadway. In the final moments of Jean Valjean’s life, he sings this lyric, “To love another person is to see the face of God.” At that moment, I felt like I was like standing on the edge of a cliff, graduation looming, but instead of feeling like I was going to fall I felt at peace and even ready to soar. It was the moment that unconditional love and freedom from guilt that Jean Valjean experienced. It was me, always knowing “Jesus loves ME,” but for the first time understanding that “Jesus LOVES me”. It’s not about what’s in it for me, rather following his example of selflessly choosing to love others, no matter the cost. When I do that, I see God working all around me. That one moment left me forever changed. ~ KKDS Partner.
