KKDS Eureka Effect

KKDS Eureka Effect

Have you ever had an 'AHA!' experience? It's that sudden moment of discovery, triggered by the unexpected, where something just clicks revealing a grander and broader picture. These moments are often inspired and experienced visually, whether it's a movie, painting, sports, poem, musical, song, etc. We experience something beautiful that impacts us and leaves our lives forever changed. For example:

I remember that moment for me. Two months before my high school graduation we were in New York, NY, to watch Les Misérables on Broadway. In the final moments of Jean Valjean’s life, he sings this lyric, “To love another person is to see the face of God.” At that moment, I felt like I was like standing on the edge of a cliff, graduation looming, but instead of feeling like I was going to fall I felt at peace and even ready to soar. It was the moment that unconditional love and freedom from guilt that Jean Valjean experienced. It was me, always knowing “Jesus loves ME,” but for the first time understanding that “Jesus LOVES me”. It’s not about what’s in it for me, rather following his example of selflessly choosing to love others, no matter the cost. When I do that, I see God working all around me. That one moment left me forever changed. ~ KKDS Partner.

Your ‘eureka’ moment might be spiritual or it might not. However, there is something about these impactful stories that allow us to fully understand one another and make us more present to the world around us. Join us for an evening, over coffee and desserts, as we share about our "Eureka" moments in life. Time will be provided for anyone to share. Everyone is welcome and there is no cost.

KKDS Worship Gathering

Join us for a very special moment as we gather together for our first worship experience at the Dulles South Community Center! Through worship, we center our lives and community around our loving Creator and celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We share God’s Word and stories of how God is at work through us. We celebrate through art, music, and presence at the table. We pray together, share peace with one another, and find hope. This is a time to intimately commune with God, one another, and celebrate that we are deeply loved. All are welcome. Children are encouraged to be with their families and will have a special dedicated time during our service.

Afterwards we will invite our families with youth to remain at the community center for a conversation regarding a future student ministry.

Follow directions to the Dulles South Community Center and look for our King of Kings greeters to enter through the senior center. We will meet you there and walk with you to our worship space. The service will begin promptly at 5pm. Please dress however you feel comfortable and participate as much as you like. We are excited to have you with us.

Please contact Garrett with any questions.
